We’re testing a new feature in Cubit. Sometimes, you know the names of the geographies that you need data for, but it’s difficult to draw those geographies on a map. For example, you might want demographic data for all 109,582 Census 2010 blocks in Los Angeles County, California.
Now you can use the Name Your Geographies feature in Cubit to send us a list of geographies that you need data for. We’ll pull data for those geographies and send you a CSV file (Excel friendly) that has the Census 2010 data for the geographies that you need. To try this feature, login to your Cubit account or sign up for a free 7 day trial of Cubit. On the Creating a Projects page, click on Naming Your Geographies (circled in red below) and fill out the form. Done and done.
Since we’re testing this feature, we’re offering just Census 2010 Redistricting data right now. The Census 2010 Redistricting dataset includes total population counts, race & ethnicity data, and housing unit information. The CSV file of Census 2010 redistricting data looks like this.
Census 2010 Demographic Data for All Blocks in Los Angeles, California
