Now you get to decide what geography levels you want demographic data for via the Cubit web app. On the Edit Project page, you can select:
- State,
- County,
- City,
- Census Tract,
- Census Blockgroup or
- Census Block.
In seconds, you’ll get demographic data for that geography level. You can try Cubit for free.
How the Geography Levels Picker Works
The Geography Levels Picker let’s you designate the smallest geography level that you want data for. Cubit will return data for your selected geography level AND all larger geography levels.
- Example 1. If you Select County, you’ll get data for States & Counties.
- Example 2. If you Select Tract, you’ll get data for States, Counties, Cities and Tracts.
- Example 3. If you Select Block, you’ll get data for States, Counties, Cities, Census Tracts, Block groups and Blocks.
Why is the Geography Levels Picker Important?
If you have a giant project area, you may not want data down to the block level (you could get a report with thousands of rows of data, and it could be data overload).
Or maybe you just want to compare county data with other county data, or city data with other city data.
